Swift Driving Academy: Lewiston, ID (Print information)

Academy Address:	1616 6th Ave. North, Lewiston, ID 83501
Arrival Time:	Must not arrive at the hotel before 1 pm on Tuesday. If you are driving, save gas receipts and turn these in to the processor in Richmond when you attend Orientation. Your reimbursement will be on one of your paychecks.
Start Time:	The Academy bus will pick you up at the motel on Wednesday morning at 5:00 AM. If driving, please report to the Academy before 5:00 AM. Bring a jacket/sweater. The classrooms can get cold.
Bus Drop off:	You will stop in Lewiston, ID Greyhound bus station. You will then call AAA Ride Cab at phone# 208-743-3222 and let them know to come and get you and to take you to the Guest House Inn. The cost of the Taxi is $4.00 which will not be reimbursed. The Academy bus will pick you up at the motel Wednesday morning at 5:00 AM. If driving, please report to the Academy before 5:00 AM

Items Needed:	If you are staying at the hotel it is strongly recommended that you bring an alarm clock to ensure proper arrival time at orientation. $150 cashiers check, money order, Visa, or Mastercard payable to Swift Driving Academy. This is required the first day of class. No Cash or Personal Checks accepted. Please wear appropriate attire while attending school. Bring clothing for various weather conditions. Coin laundry available at hotel. The following applies:

1. Collar length hair, long hair has to be pulled back in a ponytail.
2. Beards and moustaches neatly trimmed.
3. No shorts or tank tops.
4. No sandals, flip flops, or any open toed shoes.
5. No excessive amount of jewelry.

Be prepared to leave with a mentor for up to 6 weeks after your schooling. When out with a trainer you will not be guaranteed any home time.

You must be able to pass a D.O.T. physical, substance / alcohol testing, Swift Work Well Program, and have 20/40 vision or below in each eye.

You will be sharing a suite with one other person of the same sex, two queen beds with bedding supplied, and one cleaning per week. All suites are non-smoking and include a TV and a kitchen area with stove, pots/pans, dishes, and microwave.

Please leave your valuables at home since Swift and the Days Inn are not responsible for such losses. Do not bring any weapons with you. This includes knives and pocketknives.

Any student found with alcohol or a person of the opposite sex in their room at any time will be terminated and sent home immediately at their own expense.

Must bring money for food and other personal expenses. We recommend at least $150.

Facility & Equipment Description

A 5,000 square foot office and classroom equipped with state-of-the-art video equipment and other visual aids.

A 25 acre driving range.

Training equipment includes freightliner tractors with conventional design, as well as 53' long trailers. All equipment is owned by the institution and is maintained in a clean, modern facility.
